Daikin India has announced the launch of air-conditioning equipment using next generation refrigerant HFC32 manufactured at its Neemrana plant based in Rajasthan.

The company considers HFC32 suitable for split air-conditioners and heat pumps and is an alternative to replace R410A in terms of performance. Starting with HFC32 adoption across the residential air-conditioners launched in India, it aims to expand use of HFC32 for commercial air conditioning equipment in the future. It is also a refrigerant that reduces the amount of refrigerant needed per air conditioning unit, has the advantage of enabling components such as heat exchangers, to be made compact, and is suitable for refrigerant recycling.
