This four star hotel located in Deira (Dubai) brings out the best in Arabian hospitality through its building design and planning of spaces. Architect Reza Kabul envisaged interiors coupled with rich finishes provide striking effect yet offer comforting ambience to the guests.
The hotel exterior has been designed to form a beautiful wave which gives it a unique identity. The same feature has been recreated in the interiors by designing a wave pattern in the ceiling & floor of the entrance lobby which flows effortlessly from entrance to adjoining coffee shop, giving it an expansive look. The lobby further extends into the restaurant with purple, red and brown interiors that sets it apart from the general areas. The rich colours and dark tones of the space not only exude a royal feel but also create a relaxing environment for the diners. Kabul designed the dining areas with focus on making food display areas attractive to draw the guests and layout was planned such to provide comfortable access to the buffet counters.
While the restaurant is furnished in dark tones, the coffee shop is designed in light shades ofbrown which adds simple and elegant charm to casual eating space. Making the place lively is the crisscross pattern on the ceiling that runs all around the coffee shop. Another attraction on the ground floor is the beautifully designed banquet. The place aesthetically pleasant is practical in its treatment with the use of acoustic fabric panels, carefully selected chandeliers and soft lighting in the form of intricately designed grills.
The roof top of the building forms the focal point of the hotel with its lit swimming pool and the adjacent health club. Kabul has also designed a small area from where guests can watch the sunset over the city skyline while relaxing on the loungers. Another distinct design aspect is the two meeting rooms which have been planned on the roof top. This simple innovation by Kabul helps introduce fun in an otherwise tense working environment for business visitors. The guest rooms and suites too have been designed keeping in mind the smallest of needs of the guests. For instance, the Executive suites are designed with their own little workplace as well as an area to entertain guests.
