As with our previous issues, this month’s edition too brings to its readers a mix of informative articles in technology and design. Though new regulatory rules have been passed for real estate, the lull still continues. In an interview with Buildotech, Manoj Gaur, President, CREDAI, Delhi- NCR says that with RERA in place, India will be witnessing a filtered real estate scenario. The demand will increase gradually; however, single window clearance and industry status would be the real triggers for actual growth and consolidation. Bharat Dhupper of Sheth Creators feels that contrary to the general perception, the real estate industry has slowly moved on to become an organized sector with the coming in of FDI. Bringing in technology, corporate work culture and more transparency has indeed helped the sector to become more professional.
On the technology side we have talked about different aspects of security for smart buildings – sensors, IP enabled surveillance cameras, video analytic technologies – and the need to increase efficiency through intelligent management systems. One area yet to get firm footing is the audio/video segment. Home owners are waking up to the fact that correct acoustics and A/V integration are equally vital elements of comfortable living.
To be brief, Buildotech has been offering, month after month, information and views from experts on multiple verticals related to contemporary design trends and technology innovations keeping sustainability as the connecting thread. All of these have been made possible by the hard and sincere efforts of our Managing Editor Sapna Srivastava put in over the last five years. Her passion for discovering fresh designers, architects and professionals has been a strength to the magazine. She has now decided to move on. We at Buildotech will miss her, so too the readers. As we try to come to terms with her departure, we wish her all the best in her new assignment.
