Asahi India Glass Ltd. (AIS), a leading integrated glass company manufacturing a wide range of international quality float glass, automotive safety glass and architectural processed glass, is offering a range of glasses that can enable energy efficiency. The Ecosense range of advanced energy-efficient glass is specially developed for the Indian climatic conditions and is designed to deliver superior performance allowing architects and builders to set higher standards of green architecture. The range is available in two high-performance categories – Enhance (Solar Control) and Exceed (Solar Control Low-E).
This is a soft coat glass produced with the help of MSVD technology, and is suitable for medium and large scale projects. Available in 23 nature-inspired shades, it can be used in Single as well as double glazed unit in applications such as in skylights, curtain-walls, windows and facades.
Ecosense Exceed is a soft coat solar control Low-E glass that combines energy efficiency, aesthetics and eco-sensitivity. Produced with the help of MSVD technology, it delivers high performance high quality and is ideal for green or energy efficient buildings in applications such as skylights, curtain-walls, windows and facades. It is highly suitable for medium and large scale projects, as it can be used only in double glazed units, and is available in 18 different variants and shades to suit every design and aesthetic requirement.
A soft coat glass that can be used in a single glazed unit, it offers superior solar control, superior UV protection and superior cooling. Available in three contemporary shades of leaf green, oceanic blue and radiant amber, it is ideal for in residential projects where privacy is a factor since the VLT (Visual Light Transmission) of this product is low.
Produced with the help of CVD technology, this is a hard coat range of economical reflective glasses that delivers high quality across applications such as skylights, curtain-walls, windows and facades. Most suitable for small projects and residential buildings, the product delivers energy efficiency through of thermal insulation and solar heat control while cutting down ultra violet and infra-red rays.
The economical range of hard coat reflective glass from AIS, Opal is most suitable for small projects and residential buildings. Available in royal blue, cool green, golden bronze, pearl grey, aqua blue to suit different needs, it is ideal for use in skylights, curtain-walls, windows and facades.
IGU (Insulated Glass Units)
IGUs are basically multiple layered glass panes that have very dry air or inert gas between the glass panes which are hermetically sealed and work on the principle of reducing conduction and convection heat transfer across the unit, thus increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings they are used in. The primary reason for using this product is to cut down on thermal heat coming from outside. IGUs are typically extremely heavy thereby providing structural strength and security and provide better protection against fogging than a single pane of glass when used in windows and doors.
