Nohmi Bosai (India) Pvt. Ltd recently announced the appointment of Ajit Raghavan, as the Joint Managing Director – Business Development. He will be based out of Gurgaon office, working closely with the leadership team to finalize the specific objectives and shape the organization in India.

Nohmi Bosai Ltd. is a 98 year old Japanese Fire Company specializing in R&D, Production, Engineering, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Fire Systems which includes Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression systems like Gas Suppression, Hydrant Systems, Sprinkler Systems and Foam Systems with revenues close to a Billion USD. Nohmi Bosai manufactures products which include Fire Alarm, Gaseous Fire Suppression and Aspirating systems which is UL listed. Nohmi Bosai (India) Pvt. Ltd. is a 100% subsidiary of Nohmi Bosai Limited, Japan.

Ajit will be responsible for Company’s business and establishing strong partnerships with key clients through the development and management of new business opportunities in this region. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy for the India market. This will include identifying key projects, partners and decision makers for projects in India.

Ajit was earlier the Director of Business Development/ Public Affairs for Tyco Fire and Security and was responsible for corporate affairs, business development wich includes key account management. He was also responsible for driving Codes & Standards in S. Asia. He transitions into the role with more than 27 years of industry relevant experience. He started with Stenco Engineering, where he was into the business of manufacturing of firefighting equipment and design, supply & installation of fire alarm & suppression systems and served as the company’s Director for 11 years. Later, Tyco Fire & Security bought stakes in this company to enter the Indian market.

Ajit is a post graduate from IIM-Kozhikode, specializing in Marketing & Strategic Management. He has served as the secretary for Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) in 2007-08 & currently serves as an Executive Board member as the Chairman for Codes & Standards. He was also a member of Member of Bureau of Indian Standards for Fire Fighting Sectional Committee, CED 22, CED 36 & member of FICCI Homeland Security Committee.
