Sodexo acquires MacLellan India

Sodexo Group, an on-site services company, has obtained MacLellan Integrated Services India Pvt Ltd in India. The acquisition will support Sodexo’s international leadership and strengthens the Group’s technical expertise in the dynamic Indian growth economy. It will also provide MacLellan India’s customers to access a wider range of services as well as the international resources of the Sodexo Group.

While speaking to Buildotech, Sunil Nayak, CEO, Sodexo India, said, “Sodexo’s vision in India is to be the outsourcing expert of choice, providing Quality of Life Services that measurably improve our clients performance and development.”

Sodexo Group is aiming to double its revenue by 2015 and this alliance will help it further in accomplishing the target, Nayak said. Last year (August-September fiscal year) Sodexo earned 1,000 crore revenue from the Quality of Life Service. It will help expand its client base to 1,000 from the current 350. The employee strength will increase to 40,000 from the present 34,000.

MacLellan India provides maintenance and facility management services to industries in sectors such as automotive, IT and pharmaceutical as well as industrial parks and office spaces. The company has made 130 crore revenue; apart from that there is 20% year-on-year growth in its business last fiscal.
