The Advisory Board Meet (ABM) of the Global Green Summit took place last month in Delhi to create a conference agenda that is holistic and has the potential to influence a green revolution in the country. The Advisory Board Meeting was convened by Rajat Malhotra, JLL.

Other prominent members from the industry and government included Gautam Vivek– World Energy Council, AneeshKadyan – CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd, AvikalSomvanshi – Centre for Science and Environment,Deepak Bansal – HUDCO,Tarun Sharma – Ecorys India Pvt Ltd, Robert Hoellrigl – Encraft India Pvt Ltd andNeeraj Kapoor – Kalpakrit-Sustainable Environments Pvt. Ltd Some others were Ar. NilanjanBhowal – Design Consortium,Ar. Ashok Lall – Ashok B Lall Architects, Revathi Kamath – Kamath Design Studio, AmrithaBallal – SpaceMatters Design Studioand Prabhpreet Singh Shah and Prof. Charanjit Shah – Creative Group.

From the industry were Teddy D’Souza – Knauf AMF, Mario Schmidt – Lingel Windows and Doors Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Gaurav Shorey – PSI Energy, Jagdish Agarwal – Solar Power Developers Association,; Koushik Sarkar – USG Boral Building Materials (I) Pvt. Ltd and Amrita Pai – Welspun Renewables etc. to name a few.

Some of the key topics discussed at the meet were affordable and sustainable housing, role of facilities management in motivating a sustainable culture, smart cities, waste to energy, green citizenship, priorities of building, economic viability and regulations etc. The Global Green Summit will be held in October 31, 2015 in Mumbai and will allow the participants an opportunity to reach out to prospective stakeholders and share a vision for sustainable India.
